DescriptionThis Accomplishment. The Acquiring of this mystical piece of comic art treasure, it all began with an idea..and the purest and highest clearest intent imaginable.When I was seeing the covers to doctors Strange 5, then 4 come to auction I was already enthralled. And wondered...is there someone out there who possesses the other three?..and when I inquired.. the answer was yes..This guy has them..and to me the covers of Doctor Strange 1, 2, and 3 mark the absolute pinnacle works of what Brunner brought to Doctor Strange and so the idea was created...What if? What if? I could win the doctor strange 3 when it comes up? A spectacular cover awesomely depicting an archetypal fight in another dimension against an arch-foe n Dormammu defending Clea at his side..and I did it and won it..Then the 2 even more Iconic in its imagery with Doctor Strange now going through another Dimensional adventure and this time expanding his powers to look and feel enormous with the Defenders aiming right at him in spectacular fashion..as one of my favorite covers images, it came up, and I did it...once more. ...and Alas through my Magic Orb was I watching the number 1...The first number 1 of Dr. Strange’s existence...an Iconic cover the whole comic world knows...and now through the MCU Dr. Strange had become a world wide known Superhero figure...This image so recognizable and beautiful in its rendering was an ideal way to begin the series with Dr. Strange center image large and within his Sanctum where it all begins...and in Sorcerers fashion we see him utilizing his mystical bolts against some otherworldly creature in a way that is everything Strange is about... This made this moment even greater...another what if? What if I could put together in this era a Magical set of the covers of Dr. Strange 1... 2... and 3...What if this Mystical Grail of a number one issue was won.... It took substantially more than I imagined it would..and yet nearly all great things do..and I did from my own Sanctum...Won this..Brunner’s most famous piece of Art...his most important..and in many ways Dr. Strange’s most important moment..as he earned the popularity with the aid of Brunner to be given the birth of his own title and number 1 issue... Brunner Beautifully rendering his own style of mystical expression within the Sanctum and connecting with the Orb within...Fitting... And that is my mystical story...and now It is time in the great scheme of things for this piece to be presented here on CAF... Brunner’s story with Doctor Strange how I see it...Is that no one before him or since him has drawn Dr. Strange with more artistic acumen or convincing imagery than Brunner has..He is the definitive Doctor Strange artist at the highest level. As each time I peer upon his Strange artwork it is as though this is exactly how Dr. Strange is supposed to look, more so than any other way he has ever been depicted. Although Brunner’s time at Marvel was relatively short for a top artist, his impact upon it will eternally be etched in the Cosmos through his mystical markings left upon the Sorcerer Supreme The Skill and detail displayed upon this cover itself has the eyes enchantingly exploring every cosmic marking and multi-dimensional perspectives..all upon one single parchment... As this issue is an Iconic moment in the story of the sorcerer supreme...it is an iconic moment within mine now as well.. Enjoy the Magic ! Social/Sharing |

Thanks for that Mystical sentiment Dan.. Major Mystical accomplishment ..and yes the story I heard was he was an all-in Doctor Strange fan who picked up all 3 pieces around 1980 or so and this one apparently he paid $150 for this back then ...Talk about mystical multiples! So yea I'm sure he would be pleased to know they went to one other Master of the Mystic art collector

I appreciate that...and yes..the feeling is amazing...it is mystically surreal seeing them actually here with me this number 1 and the group. and it feels like a high level cosmic alignment designed to be.

Holy Cow...they say on earth..In the Sactum we say.. Holy Cyttorak! ..and thank you!..A lot of mystical spells and multi-realm meditations were enacted to bring these magical 3 covers together..and to actually make it happen and achieve the issue 1..the Ancient one is smiling.

It is interesting that after issue 1 they made changes to the logo and it evolved from there ..we get to see where it all started and it is mystical in its simplicity issue 1..
