DescriptionGrafito editorial, 2024Durante la guerra civil española se trasladan las obras de arte del Museo del Prado a Valencia para protegerlas de las bombas. Un grupo de republicanos decide aprovechar el traslado para robar La Mona Lisa y así pagar un pasaje a sus familias que les permita escapar de la guerra. Mientras, en nuestro presente, una pareja de historiadores investigarán a contrarreloj para encontrar el cuadro autentico. PLAN DE HUIDA es una historia sobre arte, codicia y desesperación con nuestro patrimonio artístico en juego. La Guardia Mora fue una unidad militar de élite de origen marroquí que ejerció las funciones de guardia personal del jefe del Estado español Francisco Franco durante la guerra civil española y los primeros años de su régimen. Estaba formada por soldados selectos de entre las fuerzas del Ejército de África y se caracterizaron por sus pomposos uniformes. The Franco Regime, 1936–1975 (Payne, Stanley G., Madison: The University of Wisconsin Press, 1987). Esta magnífica acuarela pertenece a las guardas delanteras del cómic aunque lo que se publicó fue el lápiz previo. The art has a blend of realism and cartoon look with high detail for historical authenticity.

The Guardia Mora was an elite military unit of Moroccan origin that served as the personal guard of the Spanish head of state Francisco Franco during the Spanish civil war and the first years of his regime.
It was made up of select soldiers from among the forces of the African Army and were characterized by their pompous uniforms.
This magnificent watercolor belongs to the front endpapers of PLAN DE HUIDA although what was published was the previous pencil.
