Mills and Boon artwork - 'Tender Bondage' - 1971

Original artwork - paint on canvas - used for the cover of a Mills and Boon novel, 'Tender Bondage', by Anne Durham, published in 1971.

The artwork seems to be oil but could possibly be gouache. The production technique used seems to involve adding or joining more than one layer of artwork, as the canvas is raised at various points - including from the top of the nurse's arm down to the middle of the balcony, and also in some of the leaves. I don't know who the artist is unfortunately. The book cover is shown in the 'additional images'.
