Description

Excited to add this stunning Catwoman cover by Joelle Jones to my collection! I love her series, Lady Killer, and her artwork on Catwoman stood out to me as incorporating some of the sexual energy that Michelle Pfeiffer brought to the character in the movie Batman Returns. I have enjoyed a number of the comics interpretations of Catwoman, but perhaps because of the timing in my life, Pfeiffer's Catwoman has remained my favorite interpretation.

In the interview portion of the Joelle Jones sale, she spoke about how exhausting her run on Catwoman was for her, and though I sympathize with the difficulties of writing AND drawing for company deadlines, I do hope she feels good about the work she did because it was the first time since Jim Balent's run that I wanted to collect the Catwoman main title again.

Gorgeous! Jones gives us a defiant image of Catwoman symbolicially tearing out of this cover! It tells us a lot about the approach she wanted to express in the character!
