A nicely illustrated page by prolific DC and independent artist, Matt Haley. This is the final page of the four-part story “Mr. Pike Goes to Washington” that ran in multiple issues from Penthouse Comics in the 90s. It features our reluctant hero (Captain Adventure) as he rebuffs the beautiful heroine Aqualine, as he enjoys a rare moment of reflection and contemplation as he seeks out his newly inherited Citadel of Silence (which is an obvious homage to Superman’s Fortress of Solitude). Matt Haley provides graphite and Bob Wiacek provides inks on standard Bristol board measuring approximately 11x17”. Signed by artist in bottom right corner. In Excellent condition.
