Description
An awesome Jim Starlin wraparound book cover to Michael Moorcock and Hilary Bailey’s The Black Corridor. It was re-released along with The Adventures of Una Persson and Catherine Cornelius in 1979, but the publisher opted for the single cover painting by Starlin featuring Catherine (see the additional image). Sex sells and, IMO, the superior painting lost out.

This is a great example from one of my favorite periods of Starlin art, his 70s painted artwork. Expertly designed, you can see exactly where the title and copy would go. And the subject matter is perfect for the master of the cosmic tale, the spaceships would look right at home in Metamorphosis Odyssey.

If you are a fan, I cannot recommend The Black Corridor enough; besides being a rare science fiction novel by Moorcock, some of its themes are very relevant to the politics of today.

An impressive 19.75 x 24”, painted on canvas board.

Isn't it amazing? checking outta where we were
It's so unpredictable, at the end of my rope
Gotta skate the ledge outta this kaleidoscope
Tumbling, in a world of swirl

Oh yea!  Love it.  Had to sell a few things and this is the teaspoon-of-honey to counter that bitter pill.

It's a gem!  From the vintage cosmic era of Starlin and he gets to use the white paint splatter to great effect!
