Emma Frost by Adi Granov

Prior to NYCC '24, Adi Granov publicised that he was going to take a limited number of commissions for collection at TBC in the UK and NYCC in the US.

I sent in two options for the commission - a bust of Magik (no shocker there) or of Emma Frost. I haven't got any of Emma and I thought Adi would do her justice. I did some research and found a previous Emma he had done that looked gorgeous so I went with those two.

I requested for her to have a diamond shoulder as I wanted to hint at her secondary mutation and I wanted to see how Adi would approach the juxtaposition of flesh and diamond. When I was talking to Adi and Tamsin about the commission process (at their table at NYCC '24), and why Emma over Magik, Tamsin remembered reading about Emma and the diamond shoulder in the email and completely forgetting about the Magik option lol. So we all have to give a big thank you to Tamsin for this piece coming into being :)

Adi is a master of his craft and went on an experimental journey for these commissions. He went above and beyond and I can only thank him from the bottom of my heart for the time and hard work he put into this. I can't wait to get it framed and on the wall. Thank you again Adi and Tamsin!
