You've got Jackson Guice
Your heroes to come unite in love
Your cover Masks it twice
Someday you'll pay the Guice, I know
I've seen Skeletor, he sharpens all the lines
You'll shuffle it more, believe the work's refined
You're inking heroes, you're drawing away
A fortune in prelims, but someday you'll pay
You've got Jackson Guice
You're willing to mask it twice our love
You want Dynamite
But someday you'll pay the Guice, I know

Is this how you are feeling this morning after last nights celebrations? "Why is everything so loud today?"

In a nod to the famous Neal Adams Joker cover, Butch Guice designed this cover to Masks II with playing cards featuring a new group of superheroes. Fun concept, beautifully executed. Love the portraits on the each of the cards. They're all drawn exceptionally well, in a style that's a cross between Tim Sale and Frank Miller. I only know the character on the middle card--The Shadow, but the rest look interesting. I like the idea that the hands shuffling the deck are a skeleton's hands--Perhaps a reference to Death?--and they are rendered in a more realistic style with shading and dimension. Great idea, excellently executed!

A great pulpy cover! I like that the Shadow is the center card. The hands are well done! :-)
