Back in late March 2024, Chris opened up a new commission list and I was lucky enough to get on that list!
My request was Akira: Kaneda & Tetsuo in Neo Tokyo.
Chris emailed me to tell me the commission would be finished around end of September 2024.
September goes by and ends. I don’t hear back from Chris until early October 2024 to break the news that he’s delayed due to sick kids and comic deadlines, but he hopes to get the commission completed in the next couple weeks.
October 2024 goes by and I don’t hear back again until today, November 13, 2024!
Today was THE day he finally got to my commission and I am COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY!
It was worth the wait!
Chris even sent me a free issue of Batman and Robin: Year One included with the commission along with a sketch of Tetsuo!
Patience really is a virtue!
This has got to be THE BEST commission I’ve gotten from Chris since my “Daredevil Diving In Hells Kitchen” commission and “DKR Batman Carrie Kelley” commissions that I got from past years!
Such an amazing piece and I can tell Chris went above and beyond on this piece!
