DescriptionFourth in my "Untold Tales Of Infinity Inc" series - Special #0 - with art by Luis Rivera, adapted from George Perez' iconic cover to Justice League Of America #195.When Vandal Savage discovers the existence of Infinity Inc (at the team's press conference in issue #12) he realises that his plan to dominate the world by simply outliving the Justice Society is no longer an option, so he determines to kill the new generation of heroes! Accordingly, he assembles a new iteration of the Injustice Society, with some former members (Sportsmaster; Huntress; Thinker) and some new recruits (The Spirit King; The Spectrum - a young villain who has adopted the costume of the Spectre's 1940s foe; The Dummy; Star Sapphire; and Ramulus) and sets out to capture Infinity Inc. Power Girl's Kryptonian strength is useless against the insubstantial Spirit King, who is able to possess her body and subdue her will; the Spectrum confronts Obsidian; the Dummy's wooden body makes him immune to Jade's power pulse; Star Sapphire beats the Star-Spangled Kid; the villainous Huntress captures Northwind; Ramulus' living vines trap the heroic Huntress; the Thinker overpowers Brainwave; Sportsmaster surprises Nuklon (in his secret identity as Al Rothstein) on a basketball court and defeats him; and Savage himself uses his hi-tech gadgetry (as seen in Flash #137) to capture Fury and the Silver Scarab. However, when the villains return to Savage's hidden lair, the Spectrum does not have Obsidian with him - and uses his emotion-controlling helmet to pit the Injustice Society members against each other, before removing it to reveal that he *is* Obsidian, who had resisted the Spectrum's attack, overcome him and stolen his costume to infiltrate the villainous team. With his fellow heroes freed, Obsidian and Infinity Inc are able to defeat the Injustice Society and capture them. Another Untold Tale of Infinity Inc - coming soon! Social/Sharing |

A great cover and this homage by Luis Rivera does Perez justice with the large cast on it and the way the computers are drawn in his manner.
