DescriptionFor my money, this is the quintessential background from a cartoon in my childhood. This is one of the backgrounds from the title sequence of Filmation's New Adventures of Superman, 1966 where Superman is leaping the tallest building in a single bound.I couldn't believe my luck when I saw it on eBay. My wife had a cow when I bought it for a LOT of money. I sold a bunch of comic books and my grandfather's coin collection to cover it, but it was worth it. Probably done by Paul Xander. Opening sequence so you can see it. Still send chills through me every time: 10 second mark : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXPedBDsZdU Social/Sharing |

Cool pick up and thanks for including the link to see the cell "in action". It's certainly wonderful when we have a loving wife that allows "our indescretions".

Thanks! It is one of 'the' cool things from when I was a kid. I loved these cartoons.

Well, that most definitely is the tall building that Superman is able to leap in a single bound. What a fabulous thing to own - congrats!
