Moby Dick Commission by Matias Bergara

Matias is an incredible illustrator, and I came so close to getting a commission from him years ago. What I didn’t know at the time was that he was already in deep discussions to move his art representation to my good friend Felix Lu. Understandably, that put the kibosh on our initial talks. Later, I missed my chance to get on his first commission list through Felix because of a busy workday.

So, when his second list opened up, I raced to the site to submit my request and, fortunately, managed to secure a spot! My Moby Dick pieces are among my absolute favorites, and knowing there’s a good chance this will be the only Bergara commission I ever get, I knew it was now or never.

The final piece speaks for itself—it’s a jaw-dropper. It’s getting framed soon and will take a prominent spot on our Moby Dick gallery wall.
