Description

Here is an interesting prelim for some gaming art by Edward Blair Wilkins. This is prelim #4 for Zaxxon, a scrolling shooter developed by Sega as an arcade video game in 1982. This artwork was likely proposed as gaming box art or artwork for an article in a gaming magazine. I just love the obvious Star wars influence, this looks like an X-Wing above the trench on the Death Star, just so cool!

Beautiful study in the early sci-fi computer graphics aesthetic! It would make sense if this was on the side of a gaming cabinet.
