DescriptionSuperman: A Tale of Five Cities is a unique graphic novel published in 1990 by the Danish publisher Interpresse. This story was created to celebrate Superman's 50th anniversary and is notable for being the first and only Superman comic produced outside the United States with DC Comics' approvalIn this Cold War-themed adventure, Superman, along with Lois Lane and peace activist Theodore P. Wyatt, travels across five European capitals: Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, and Helsinki. Their mission is to reveal the existence of a new invention ( the peace morger) that can neutralize all nuclear weapons, which the U.S. government wants to keep secret The story features Superman thwarting Lex Luthor's plans and includes various famous landmarks from these cities, some of which get destroyed during the action The comic was written by Niels Søndergaard and illustrated by Teddy Kristiansen, making it a significant piece of Danish comic book history.
