Call Me-- Kraken!
written by Paul Kupperberg

Supergirl is in battle with the creature called Kraken. He has encapsulated her with glob from the lake bottom but she frees herself by creating a whirlpool.

Evidently in this era the lake bottoms were very clean!

Oh, I won't let you go
Oh, got a hold on you
I've got a hold on you
I've got a hold on you tonight
Oh, I got a hold on you
I got a hold on you (I got a hold on you)
That's right

And I'm holding you
With my magic
Uh oh, it's magic
Just a little magic
You know it's true
I got a hold of you

Kraken, not Whirl, pool my world
I said they Carmine world
Have your page Kraken, not whirlpool size
Maybe we could do the swirl?
You don't have to watch fantasy
To climb to altitude
You just leave ink all glop on me
My love will be whirlpool

You don't have to be rich to Super Girl
You don't have to be cool whirlpool my world
Ain't no particular line, Bob's more compatible with,
I just want your Oksner line and your twist

Such confidence in her character, duly depicted by the elegance of her movement.

The look on her face in the first panel is exquisite, and I love the backflip she does as she exits the water!
