DescriptionAndromeda in Chains ** Boris Vallejo, c. 1988 (Oil on board) Published in Boris 1989 Mythology CalendarSigned and dated lower right. (Also 1993 Fantasy Art Series trading card). Model was a friend of Boris named Josephine, who modeled for him many times. I really wanted this one! I always loved mythology. I was 10 years old when I first saw "Clash of the Titans." It instantly became my favorite movie. I made my girlfriends SUFFER through the 1981 film during my 11th birthday party, when southern California late April week weather chose a rain pour and my planned "pool party" turned into a NERD Monica event. I think I had more fun watching Medusa, Perseus, Andromeda and the Kraken on my TV VHS rental. Lol. Thank you to the CAF member for the awesome deal and TRADE! I love this community. Very lovely Boris as this piece typifies the obsession with body image and perfecting the toned look. Combined with his sense of fantasy, his paintings were doing things that spoke to a wide audience.
