They actually served ice cream from plastic bowls made to look like football and baseball helmets back then.

Hi Marcus. Looks as if they did. Coincidentally, not a day went by I didn't pester my parents for a fruit boat with nuts from the ice-cream man only to sent to bed with no tea because they thought I was being homophobic and a masogynist.
