DescriptionIce - How about Fire and Ice!Published 1983. Equinox the Thermodynamic Man first appeared in Marvel Team up 23 (1974) as the perfect foe for the Human Torch and Iceman. He can generate intense heat and cold within his body at the same time and his body is always shown as rippling between fire and ice. Like the Torch, he can throw fireballs and like the Iceman, he can generate ice slides. He possesses superhuman strength and durability and is immune to extreme heat or cold. The extreme strain his powers has put on his body is said to have driven him insane. The Thermodynamic Man was always intriguing in that he was the living embodiment of an unstable system - with the two extremes existing in one body without consuming each other. Social/Sharing |
