Description

Victory Through Air Power Aerial View Pan-Sized Production Background Art ( Walt Disney, 1943). Soar the skies with this piece , a wonderful piece of colossal hand-painted production background displaying an aerial view from Victory Through Air Power, Disney's World War II propaganda film. Released theatrically on July 17, 1943, this animated documentary adapted Alexander P. de Seversky's perspectives on the superiority of aerial warfare, employing resourceful limited animation and a live-action segment featuring Seversky. This magnificent aerial view with clouds floating over the area appears starting at the 50:10 mark of the film, showcased for about three seconds, measuring an image size of 26" x 8.25". Backgrounds throughout the film are credited to Dick Anthony, Nino Carbe, Claude Coats, Al Dempster, Ray Huffine, and Joe Stahley. Tbe background is rendered in gouache on trimmed background board bearing studio stamps on the back . Pinholes can be seen on the background corners. Showing light handling and edge wear from production, the condition is Very Good.
