Going by his mentor, Wally Wood's creedo...
"Never draw anything you can copy, never copy anything you can trace, never trace anything you can cut out and paste up."
I would have expected Reese to draw the background once and then just use copies for the other 3 panels. Like he did with this one.

Some strips are numbered and follow their ordering in the paperback that collected the One Year Affair strips.

One Year Affair was created by Byron Preiss and Ralph Reese.

Great depiction of a typical kitchen table talk in modern times. The gag is that it's true on many levels including just saying things in order to end a conversation.
