Walking through comments what Dan Spiegel art meant
Scoff at the eighties who live in their reprints
Down by the cover shown up every art day
Beating their nuts saving their raisins for Sunday.
Lions and tigers who wait for the Tono
They're fast but they're lazy, and see twin needs Kono.
It's Spiegel in the Jungle well, Twins all right by me.
It's a cover and it's Whitman,
But what's at stake, who sells all these?

This will appear tame to most of today's audience, being fed constant ultra nervous manga storytelling/DWJ or James Harren (all of which I love btw), but this is an extremely well done frozen moment in terms of staging and sense of movement.

I agree. That was as attracted me to this page. Also it was a great opportunity to add a nice piece from Dan Spiegle to my collection.

Seemed like majority of comics of my youth came from these grab bags. If the bagged image was taken by you. I would love to seen the flip version so I could see what else was in the bag.

The mystery was always what was in the middle?

Wow, so different from his later work, stylistically speaking. Great figure work and movement!

Lots to attract someone to pick up this issue. Nicely composed.
