DescriptionHappy to have a page from my #1 favorite Avengers story! A page from this book was on my short-list of "to-do" items on the ol' 2025 bucket-list.While Kang and the Avengers fight back, Immortus’ Power encroaches on Kang’s own Time Bubble. Panel One: YellowJacket, Songbird, Captain America and Genis-Vel (Captain Marvel) are surprised to hear a voice declare that they won't have to surrender to Immortus! Panel Two: Rick Jones has finally become accustomed to his Destiny Force powers (Thanks to the Kree Supreme Intelligence and Libra) and manages to drive Immortus and his army away. (As Hawkeye cheers him on.) Panel Three: Immortus admits he has momentarily been placed in check. Panel Four: Kang The Conqueror, looking like a boss, stands over the bodies of Immortus' fallen time-army with big hand-cannons. Panel Five: Immortus and his time-army fade from the battlefield on the Blue Area of the Moon. Panel Six: Captain America, Genis-Vel (Captain Marvel) and Hawkeye look over the fallen pieces of Immortus' ice warrior, Tempus. Hawkeye: What do we do next? This is probably my favorite Avengers story as well, AND I absolutely love Pacheco's work. I really want to get a good example from this series. Congrats!!!

Pacheco and Merino's greatest achievement to many. It came at the right time in 1998 to re-energize the Avengers much like the JLA series did for DC.

An undefeated champion when it comes to Avengers stories! And the Pacheco/Merino team rises to the challenge, reaching standards long ago established by the likes of John Buscema and Tom Palmer, no less! Great pick, of course!

The Pacheco/Merino artwork in this series is so beautiful--incredible linework, especially in the characters' hair and other fine details.
