Description

My last major purchase of 2024 and, I believe, my most expensive art purchase so far. An original published cover artwork by Humberto Ramos for the third volume of The Runaways, this cover featuring Karolina Dean. Not only is this my first published cover by Ramos, but also my first marvel cover for a team and character I enjoy! If anyone has the cover to or knows who has the cover to issue 4, send them my way as that is one from this run I am looking for!

Runaways Team member Karolina Dean soars and zips through the sky with pure, unrestrained joy, leaving a shimmering trail in her wake in this delightful and lively cover by Ramos. Ink over blue pencil on Marvel Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 15.25". Light handling wear. Signed and dated by Ramos in the image area.

Can't go wrong with Ramos art! His runs in Milestone, Impulse, Spider-Man, etc. made him one of the best storytellers in the business over time and he continues to innovate by branching into new territory in styles and levels of illustration. This taps into the joy and freedom his characters find when they use their powers.
