Mark Schultz - Conan - The Phoenix on the Sword, Chapter 1, First Image - Prelim (Wandering Star & Del Rey, 2002 & 2003)

A gorgeous original art piece by the illustration master, Mark Schultz in his work on the Conan series book. This preliminary is of the first image used in the first story on the book, The Phoenix on the Sword and is a beautiful dark city scape setting the stage for the story. This work is published in the Mark Schultz Portfolio published by Flesk and featured on page 49 and in other art book collections of the artist. Artwork is done in graphite and illustration paper measuring 8"x10" and is in excellent condition. "PS 1" is written by Schultz in the top right corner, likely to represent it as the first Image on the Phoenix Sword story.
