RB Warrior - Patrick Philip Lee

For my 200th post, I wanted to share a gift I got from a close friend and very talented artist, Patrick Philip Lee, for my birthday this past year.

This piece was made in the early 2000’s, based off the likeness of a friend of his, in a series of busts and 3/4 images of masculine warriors. There is a lot of beauty in this atypical male warrior hero, with his aging receding hairline and hirsute bearish nearly nude body. The tonality in the skin really showcases some great talent to create some 3-dimensional body work. And the finer details of hair protruding on his back line to the specularity in his eyes and the detailed gauntlet and shoulder armor make this smaller art piece really exceptional (8” x 4”).
