Jaws recreation by Kastel

Not really a splash page but wait another 2 seconds...

The first printing of the Jaws novel had a more abstract looking shark and swimmer.

Roger's version was used for successive printings and the movie poster. The art was so definitive that this is believed to be the first time a new work was not created for a movie poster.

This is a pencil recreation of the Jaws book cover/poster. Drawn on an 11 x 14 board with a gesso primer. Then sprayed with a fixative. Signed on the back.
