My attempts to research this online haven't come up with much, so I'll just give you the machine translation from the auction listing--make of it what you can.

"The scene where he follows Medama Oyaji [Kitaro's Eyeball Father] and gives him the ticket he stole. After this we find out that this place is the entrance to hell, and that the ticket is a one-way ticket to hell. This is a panel manuscript used at the end of "Ghost Family Graveyard Kitaro" in the second volume of "Yokiden." This "Youkiden" was also edited by Shigeru Mizuki [1960, just three years into Mizuki's professional career, which he started at 32]. It did not become very popular, and was discontinued after the second volume, but a letter from a fan who wanted to read the continuation of Kitaro was sent to the president of Usatsuki Shobo, and the story continued [in other publications] with "Graveyard Kitaro [Later GeGeGe no Kitaro]." Although it is only two frames, it is an important scene that leads the story to "Graveyard Kitaro" (Takeshita)

I love Mizuki art. They had a very nice exhibtion at Angouleme a few years ago. I missed it but got the catalog on the secondary market.
