Transformers #12 variant COVER by Juan Gedeon (ft Optimus Prime)

Wow, Optimus looking as bad ass as I've ever seen him!  Don't know the story behind the Megatron arm but it looks super intimidating on him.  Love the effects you describe, especially on his chest glass and new gun.  Impressive all around, congrats.

Prime with a purpose! I love how the Megatron cannon adds even more of a Gundam feel to the classic Optimus design. Two of my childhood favorites, intertwined by that inspired DWJ choice. Cool to see Gedeon's work on a mech- not something I've ever seen him do before, but it's awesome! Congrats, my friend. 

I didn't see Gundam but do now that you mention it!  And yes, was thinking about a Gedeon commission (which I very well may still do) but saw his rare take on mech in his Optimus rendition here and immediately thought "that's the one!"  Glad you like.

I like the emphasis on Megatron's gun by way of changing the rendering here.

I would say where are approaching to a new Transformers era! Due the comics (DWJ has a lot to say...) and due the coming crossover film. I love them! I love this page!!!

An excellent rendition of the Autobot leader and I love the splendiferous work on the arm cannon. As great as it looks though, it still won't make the cut for tonight's Show & Tell #69. But don't worry, we'll have plenty of even better looking art to show! 😘

But Ruben this is the only Juan I was looking forward to seeing.

Gedeon delivers a polished take on Optimus and just nails the character design. Then you have the cannon...oh wow.

Absolutely stunning variant cover to Transformers #13 by Juan Gedeon. I love Juan's take on Optiimus Prime! I especially love the airbrushed effect on the Megatron arm and cannon! Also the touch of airbrush on Optimus Prime's eyes. Great detailing like that really makes a difference! I love the pose Juan chose for Optimus Prime--He looks ready to rumble with those nasty Decepticons! I've been delighted by the great reception the new Transformers comics have received--How great that you've now got a cover from the series! Congrats on a great pick-up!
