Epic cover for the 400th issue of Thor by Ron Frenz! I always loved reading this comic for its outsized emotions and larger-than-life language. Everything in Thor was life-or-death, valor-or-cowardice, honor-or-death. This 400th issue really reflects that with Thor wielding his hammer and shouting out: "For Asgard!" Even the title uses outsized language: "God vs God in the greatest battle of all time!" Wonderful stuff. Ron Frenz did a stellar job on this cover, drawing Thor with the same kind of god-like look as John Buscema and Jack Kirby did before him. And Brett Breeding really nailed the inks and delivered linework right in the same vein as Joe Sinnott and Frank Giacoia. Wonderful pick-up, Dino, Congrats!
