DescriptionI bought this on Dueling Dealers last week and had to have it. The original ad appeared in multiple comics and I'll post an example from Battlestar Galactica #13 below. There's a production overlay that someone added over the years.Social/Sharing |

A great first appearance in the Marvel house ad! It's now impressively large with the rest of it done up.

Wow, what a fantastic piece to add to your collection, Shaun! Very memorable and even cooler than the first issue cover. This is such an iconic image, especially with the depiction of Jennifer Walters transforming into the Savage She-Hulk. The transformation is full of raw energy and power, a hallmark of this Savage version of the character, and Romita’s dynamic art style really captures the intensity of it. The way the characters are drawn, bold lines, expressive poses, and the incredible sense of motion, adds so much impact to this particular image.
The fact that it’s a house ad also makes it even more interesting as a piece of comic history. House ads like these were often a pivotal way to introduce new characters and concepts to readers, and this one really helped solidify She-Hulk’s place in the Marvel Universe.
Romita’s work has always had a way of conveying such powerful emotions through his art, and having it paired with She-Hulk’s first transformation makes this ad an even bigger highlight, offering a glimpse of this new character who would go on to captivate readers for decades to come. Congrats, dude, I love this one!
