Description

Another fun What If page from a memorable story from the second run. The hook here is the heroes lost the Atlantis Attacks crossover and Set made it to earth… similar to my favorite issue What If 6… the heroes lose .. the earth is pretty lost and a few surviving heroes take one more shot at saving the day. Marvel in the late 80s had started tying all their annuals together into a crossover. It was a pretty good marketing tool as we kids now had to buy a bunch of books we didn’t usually get lol. But I digress… this page was with Anthony Snyder I thought about grabbing it … then he sold it.. then he got it traded back to him.. so I had to grab it on the second pass! Wolverine, Sabertooth , Mr Fixit and a couple B listers fighting Lizard Punisher and Lizard DD heck yes! Plus the big Serpent Set himself? Very memorable page (I would love to get the pages around it if anyone has them) . Levins and Cabrera do a decent job brining it to life but this one is all nostalgia!

such a fun issue of What If. the snakes and DD Lizard and Punisher Lizard alone make this an awesome page but then there's everything else! nice one.

Let me get this straight--You've got Sabertooth, Wolverine and Mr. Fixit battling a LIzard Punisher, a Lizard Daredevil and a Giant Snake? Now that's my kind of book. Terrific looking page by Rik Levins and Ralph Cabrera. Love that second panel with the giant Serpent God menacing the city., And that third panel with Mr. Fixit leaping off the building to get into the action. Plus that final panel with Serpent Punisher and Daredevil blasting away with automatic weapons. Man, this page has it all--No wonder you wanted to get it. Nice pick-up, Jason, congrats!
