Description
Day 02. Thirty-one days of Star Wars (2025 edition).

Hello from Day 2. The number 2 often makes me think of one particular scene from The Empire Strikes Back.

"Commander Skywalker, do you copy? This is Rogue Two. This is Rogue Two. Captain Solo, do you copy? Commander Skywalker, do you copy? This is Rogue Two."
-Zev Senesca searching for Luke Skywalker and Han Solo on Hoth

I don't have any Rogue Two specific art, but I do have some Rogue Squadron art to share from the Mandatory Retirement story arc. A former Imperial himself, Soontir Fel tries to convince Sate Pestage to see the New Republic's point of view, and Pestage reminds Fel that the Empire had made him who he was. Neither man is able to convince the other.

This page was a birthday gift from my sister earlier this year (thanks Amy!).

This is the May!

Your sister really gets it, and you got the goods!

In my case, substitute 'CAF' for 'The Empire', 'Responsible adult' for 'Farm Boy', and 'degenerate art collector' for 'Galactic Hero'.

great gift and great dialogue on this page! The further out we get from the Dark Horse books the more appealing they are to revisit.

You're the light, Jedi Knight
Elevation there is blood
Your Star Tour, you're too late
You're the Amy gift inked pen and brush
Soonter Fel that it could mean so much, so much

You're the fear, Squadron dare
'Cause I've got the Crespo line
Follow me through the art
Let me take you past your Sate tonight
You can see artwork you brought to life, to life

So certain point of view, la-la-love this point of view
Certain point of view, la-la-love me like Rogue Two
Empire loves a fool, ta-ta-touch me with day 2
What are you waiting for?

Cool to see the once Cable artist doing some nice Star Wars art. Ahem, now as the only non-Star Wars nuthugger this Sunday, I hope you understand that if any of you begin to throw out names like Soontir Fel Sate Pestage, I just may lose my shit and have to go on a rant about one of the main reasons I never took to the Science Fiction genre. Looking forward to it, though! 😇

The only name you need to know is Jaxxon.

Well, SOMEONE is going to be explaining all the things that will be going over my head. Or better yet, just don't mention green rabbit holes and let's stick obviously important SW characters like Soontir Fel & Sate Pestage.

Well, Jaxxon sometimes went by his other name Butch.  You might as well watch this video

Holy #@$%! That was awful. But at least it was just in the comics and not in the films. Oh, and "Don-Won-Kihotay" of the Jedi Knights might be as bad. Still, for me, nothing could be worse than Jar Jar! I'll take Jaxxon over Jar Jar. Even with the guy's voiceover sounding as excruciating as it did.
