Description
Another eBay win! When this one was listed, I was holding my breath that a few other Legion cards would follow it, but this was the only one. Maybe someday I'll end up with a whole Legion of sketch cards from Sprouse, but in the meantime I'm just happy to own another example of his work!

I really like the atypical pose he decided to go with here! You don't usually see sketch-type pieces with the character facing away from you, and it makes this little card just a bit more unique. I find Sprouse often gives Imra a sly or knowing expression, very in keeping with her telepathy, so here it's almost like she's caught someone trying to sneak up on her. I also enjoy all the detail he put into drawing her hair, and how he used hatching to keep Imra's arm visually distinct from her torso.

Sprouse's run on Legion brought an immaculate look to the future.  Nice to see it looks so good in card form as well.

nice Sketch Card by Sprouse! I agree that having her look almost "off camera" or towards someone else adds a certain unexpected element to this piece that makes it stand out. the inking and hatching in the costume is well done as well as her hair and facial features. for a small canvas this piece packs a lot of detail.
