Description
Psi-Judge Geller (geddit?) faces...the hand!

Delicate little tracing paper prelim by Brett Ewins. Brett appears to have had a working method that involved a lot of tracing paper reproduction, both of his own work and others. After his untimely death, his estate, including literally hundreds of these prelims, was rescued from disposal by a collector, and slowly these tracing paper prelim originals are becoming available.

I already have Sector House 9 DPS, so this seems like an ideal addition to the collection!

Unfortunately, in all subsequent B/W editions of this story, Brett's intuitive DPS compositions have been bodged to fit into a bound book format. Please enjoy the additional image of this prelim as first published in its original glory!

Pencil on vellum
30 cm x 22.5

Thing from the Addams Family finds a new home in the UK after his show got cancelled!  Very cool how Ewins has to make the hand so steeped in horror to be as expressive as a villain!

You have this the wrong way round. Thers an infamous printed page he worked on where the eagle is on the wrong shoulder.

Indeed. Think the funny version that made it to print is in the 1980 2000ad annual. I remember looking at it as a kid and wondering why the eagle was on the wrong shoulder.
