It's interesting that at first glance, it reminded me of one of the Mike Grell pencilled pages he did for Iron Man years ago. Very nicely done, especially the intricate details in the third panel, plus you get a great Iron Man image as well.
It was metal miracle
It was sentinel zero
Kavi by myself I rip and break
An armor about you
It's a dark and dreary knight
Seems like Duggan's goin’ to write
Won't you tell Creees, Tony
How can I go on here without you?
Yes, Waldon’s inking blue
And I don't know what to do, oh-oh
Ring, ring, why don't you give Queen a call?
Ring, ring, the happiest Stark of them all
Ring, ring, I stare at the Frost on the wall
And I sit all alone invincibly
Won't you please understand the Creees I need?
So, ring, ring, why don't you give Creees a call?
So, ring, ring, why don't you give Creeez a call?
Very impressive page! When I opened up the image, my eyes first went to the second and third panels, and I thought the character was using his own hands to crush his own head. I immediately thought, "Man, I can empathize -- I've had days where I wanted to do that too." Haha! But then I looked above and saw that it was Iron Man who was doing the crushing. Really nice panel of Emma Frist there at the bottom too. Astonishing indeed.
Ha! Thought the very same ;)
Cool pencils!
Especially love that techno mess in the third panel! Congrats on the pick up and hats off to all involved in the auction! Very heartwarming to see the community come together like that!
Crees is a cool dude. Had a chance to chat with him a couple of times. Congrats on a great pick up!
Beautiful!
You can hear that nasty "KRRRRUNCH" sound just looking at panel 3 :)
IM looks very Invincible on this page! I particularly love that last panel.
Fantastic pencil work! The details on that first panel really commands attention
I'll never read an issue of Iron Man again but, artistically, the book looks like it's in good hands. I used to think it was special when Tony built a stealth armor (issue 152) or an armor for low Earth orbit flights but a magic-impervious armor? That's something.
Beautiful page love it!
Super page!!! each panel is beautiful and the pencils are gorgeous
I don't know if you know this, but I don't speak Russian.
the pencils are so tightly done that ink isn't really needed!
