Whoops! Forgot to post yesterday. The day got away from me.

Continuing with more art from my Original Comic Art Unboxing with Ruben DaCollector.

This is a prestige format one-shot. As the cover says, this is supposed to be a novel written by Clark Kent when he's not reporting the news or fighting crime as Superman.

The one-shot has two sections: Clark's novel, which is about a former Navy Seal who gets mixed up in a plot full of intrigue and romance, art by Eduardo Barreto and the real world scenes, where we see Clark struggling with writers block while his agent breathes down his neck, art by Kerry Gammill.

The cover art is fittingly by both artists. As you can see, the art was split and used for the front and back cover. The art was also used as a house ad.

Cool piece from 1994 with two great Superman artists.

This was put into stores as a prestige book and definitely was a fast pick up for Superman fans! Although I wished that Clark Kent wrote Under the Tuscan Sun so Diane Lane could play Martha a lot sooner.

It's kind of crazy that the house ad was so much closer to the original art than the cover ended up being. But I think it's simply because they wanted the cover to look more like a novel cover than a comic book cover. Either way, a really nice piece by two really great artists.
