Description

I welcome some long, clean lines after those last few pieces. Here, the Freedom Machine briefly welcomes its new members before duty calls. Pantheon # 3, page 24 (1998). Signed by inker Bill Williams.

Bill Willingham wrote this series as a spiritual continuation of Elementals, giving a general idea of how it was supposed to end, since he didn’t have a chance to finish Elementals when the original Comico went under. It’s nice to see the team leader wearing Lord Saker’s emblem.

I am almost glad you beat me on the auction for this page, as until I read your comment I never noticed Saker and Dynasty share the same uniform insignia.

Funny, I happened to be looking at your collection the other day – very nice!

As to the costume, I thought it was a brilliant little detail in issue #1. It instantly gave me a sense of familiarity but also foreboding, especially because it's worn by someone who seems good.
