Description

I love Joe Q art! I can't believe that I've had this since 2015 and I'm only posting now!

The "Knightfall" story arc ran in the Batman books during 1993-94. In the arc, Bane breaks Batman's back and as a result, Azrael briefly becomes a replacement Batman. However, he does his own version of the Darknight Detective which results in this look. In 2001, DC Direct commemorated this costume with its own highly detailed action figure based on this very piece of artwork by Joe Quesada! Two of the three turnaround figures are inked by Bob Wiacek, the last is pure Quesada pencils.

It was a time when the action figure collection grew for many collectors as the quality of them were at an all time high. They had killer sculpting of super detailed designs direct from the comic artists.
