Ken Kelly _ IRSUD by Jo Clayton

This is a huge piece! 39.75" x 24.25" STUNNING!!! The colors are so intense your eyes water! :-D

It had seen this offered online for a very long time (when I couldn't afford to make a reasonable offer) Thank God it waited for me until I scraped together the cash and when it later came up for auction on a different site, I actually could not believe that I won (probably because he was still alive at the time). It isn't often that I win auctions, and I am so grateful!!! This piece is absolutely gorgeous.

Side note: it was so horribly packaged that when it arrived the box was torn on the side (or should I say boxES since it was actually 2 small boxes taped together in the middle!!) The painting was only wrapped in brown paper that was torn also and it was freely flopping back and forth since there wasn't any thing but airspace around it in the box - no bubble or other cardboard - ok. So, there was a few scrunched up pieces of brown paper - but practically no protection at all. I was incensed! I made my sister video me opening the box as I liberated the art from its box and paper very gingerly in case i had to prove i didn't damage the piece. PRAISE THE LORD IT WAS PERFECTLY INTACT!!!!! I almost called Vincent Zurzolo myself to give him a piece of my mind... but decided to count my blessings (aka "check oneself before you wreck oneself") Anyway. It does makes you wonder how they could care so little about such a rare and fine object as a 1990's Ken Kelly painting. Rant over.
