Description

And here's this beauty! Absolutely classic Carlos: a colour rough for an unpublished cover. The nearest match I can find for this online is the 1984 cover for the Commodore 64 game 'Strontium Dog & The Death Gauntlet', so I'm dating this to 1984 also.

I hope Mark and Carlos sorted out the non-return (see verso) of this over the phone!

A colour Carlos. Not bad! Clearly the guy did not return the sketch to Carlos.

The rough has a rawness that fits the gritty sci-fi subject matter more than any refined painting.
