Description
"He doesn't know the way. His path lies through betrayal. He is no good to us. He carries the taint of the old world as much as any of them."

Thus do the ghosts of the First Nations assess John Constantine.

"We were the first to fall before this thing. We saw the others fall, one by one. And there are more to come."

Garth Ennis certainly knows how to turn a phrase, doesn't he?

I like the Dillon style here adding more deep inks to affect the mood and serious tone.  Ennis knows how to twist the knife to match Dillon's art!

Incredible Hellblazer page from an incredible issue. Love this confrontation between the spirits of the Native American tribes and John Constantine. The dialog is filled with hints of something evil that has been going on. You can feel the fear on John Constantine as he looks up at these native american spirits who appear to be skeletons wearing headscarfs and feathers or large tribal headdresses. They tell him, "We were the first to fall before this thing...Show us the way out..." But Constantine doesn't have any answers. Such a powerful page with great art and superb dialogue. Fabulous pick-up, congrats!
