Alpha Flight by Arturo Clares for the Dana Initiative. NOW at eBay!!!

This art was done on a blank cover of my mag Plot 2.0 as part of a campaign to raise funds for the victims of the flooding at Valencia (Spain) at the end of the last year.

It mimics the old Marvel editions published in Spain by Vertice Comics. It's based on the Capitan Marvel v1 #13 cover by Lopez Espi using Alpha Flight characters. It's like a collage, with each figure cut and pasted. The cool background effect was using by placing vellum paper above the background.

I'm doing something similar to the Hero Initiative projects, sending blank covers of my mag to Spaniard artists so they can make drawings and auction them.

Once all the campaign is over, I'll publish a special compiling all the art.

Some of the artists making contributions are David Rubín, Juanjo RyP, Jesús Merino, Javier Rodríguez, Victor Santos, Vicente Cifuentes and many more.

Each week I’ll auction 5-6 pieces through eBay and all the income will go directly to the Fundación Altius (fundacionaltius.org), which is helping actively in Paiporta (Valencia, Spain) and other places in need of the area damaged by the Dana flooding.
