Description
Original Art Page for the legendary The Official Marvel Comics Try-Out Book, published in the early 1980's. This is Pg. 25, and features classic images of the Amazing Spider-Man hanging from his web-line, and his original nemesis, J. Jonah Jameson, publisher of The Daily Bugle (and Peter Parker's boss). It is a rare opportunity to own not only a published JR Jr Spidey piece from the early '80's, but a truly spectacular one! This is a legendary book that pages very rarely become available from, and this is one of the best pages in the book, with Spidey and JJJ. Please note the page is published as shown (it is one of the pages published as pencils). We have included pictures we were shown from the published book, so you can see how the page looks in print. These are included for reference only, and the book is not included. We have also included a second scan that is a little darker (picture 2), which shows the pencils better. The second picture is somewhat discolored, and the first main picture shows the art board as whiter, which is how it looks in real life. It is done on illustration artwork bristol board which measures approximately 11" by 17". Please note there is some general handling and age wear, as there are circular indentation marks in the board in the 4th panel, and what looks like small discoloration spots in the last panel (possibly foxing). The page is overall in very good condition, and displays nicely. It is signed at the bottom by John Romita Jr. To get a vintage piece of this quality is a grail piece for many collectors. Don't miss out on this rare chance at a truly awesome Original Art piece, which would look fantastic framed and prominently displayed, and would be a key piece in any collection.
