Description
This the the original 1941 pen and ink cover to Daredevil Comics #6. You can see the original board and inks at lower left where the paste up fell off. This was a gift from Charles Biro to Jerry Robinson whose name Biro misspelled as Jerrie.

For Biro, crime does not pay, but being Jerry Robinson does!

One can't overstate the awesomeness of this piece.  I'm just glad these treasures still exist to be found.

A Biro Daredevil cover?! Who would have thought that this piece was still around?

A magnificent golden age cover, if ever there was one!

Amazing and the coloring is incredible proabbly better tha n the original comic- Robinson's early work of course appeared in Daredevil on the anti-Nazi series London - (of whcih some art still exists thanks to Jerry the rare person in the 1940's who valued thigns like this)

Note this appeared a month before Pearl Harbor!

The best piece of comic art history I've seen posted on CAF, probably ever. The combination of true rarity and execution. Just phenomenal.

I'll just echo the many sentiments already expressed - - WOW.  And that coloring (usually not something I approve of on a published piece) is incredible!

This is amazing! The only other piece I've ever seen close to this is a beautiful splash from Silver Streak 10 by Jack Cole. But this is a cover---are you kidding me! Golden Age Daredevil is my hand-off favorite comic character. It was my goal to get the best copies of Silver Streak Comics which introduced the character in issue 6. I also have an impressive run of the original DD series, including a copy of this book (which is hard enough to get). Huge congrats on this artwork. Definitely one of my favorites on all of CAF!

This is a stunning example...the coloring on this is abolutely unreal...very likely the only vintage Biro Daredevil Comics cover featuring Daredevil in existence...what an incredible acquisition!
