DescriptionLatest of my homages to Jerry Ordway's iconic cover to All-Star Squadron #31, as drawn by Steven Butler, featuring the Mighty Crusaders (restricting myself to the Golden and Silver Age versions of the characters, hence no Darkling, Impact-era heroes, or any of the later Crusaders iterations).Apologies (well, not really) for the visual puns of Bob Phantom slotting in where Phantom Lady is on the original, for two version of the Shield (Joe Higgins and Lancelot Strong) substituting for the two patriotically-garbed heroes (Uncle Sam and the Star-Spangled Kid), and Steel Sterling standing in for DC's Man Of Steel. Super cool! Butler did it with just as much zeal for these characters as Ordway has for the golden age.
