Description

This important storyboard drawing from Donald's Nephews by Carl Backs shows the first moment in animation art that the nephews first introduce themselves to Unca Donald. I would say that it is the very first drawing of Huey, Dewey, and Louie, but I do not know in which order the storyboards for their first cartoon were drawn and the nephews did not actually first appear in a cartoon -- they started in the Donald Duck newspaper strip a year earlier. But this is certainly the most important storyboard from the first cartoon with the nephews. Note the misspelling of Huey's name, or was this the correct spelling with every later spelling being incorrect?
