�Ever falling deeper, ever falling still�

I had thought about this piece about a week before I started; the basic concept was a figure floating, seemingly lifeless, in the water. I knew I wanted to use plastic wrap to create the ocean�s texture and that I wanted the water�s surface to be present. With the floating figure representing the debilitating effect of depression, I wanted to represent another aspect of the illness. The abysm, ready to swallow her up, represents the crushing all enveloping low that depression holds.
