Description
John Byrne and Tom Palmer X-Men The Hidden Years #20 Story Page 2 Original Art (Marvel, 2001). Magneto visits Namor the Sub-Mariner in Atlantis to convince the undersea ruler to join forces on this page from the series by Byrne that was intended to detail the events that took place during the X-Men reprints of the early 1970s. Ink over graphite on Marvel Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15.75". Text paste-ups, whiteout correction, marginal notes in the left margin, with light handling wear. In Excellent condition.

Both Magneto and Namor have grivences with mankind!  Great throne room scene, like out of the early days of Tales to Astonish to establish Namor's royal lineage and power of a king.  Byrne is doing a retro look which is why Palmer was his inker.

Great Hidden Years page with very nice Magneto and Namor content and you even get a Xavier panel to cap it off. nice pickup!

For me, the Byrne/Palmer team didn't work until XMTHY, and this page shows 'em really cookin', congrats!
