Description

This sketch was part of a sketchbook that I was fast enough to acquire through the illustrious Doug Ellis! It is larger than usual `8" x 9"

The artist himself told me that he put together the sketchbook when he needed some quick cash - he had already discussed the sketchbook with whomever the original buyer was.

The book contains 34 preliminary "sketches"! Some sketches depict variants of my most favorite Mattingly covers.

There are two thoughts which plague me however....
The fact that multiple pages have been cut out of the sketchbook.... I have lost sleep wondering which ones were cut out... given the contents that are left behind, i cannot but image the previous owner(s) removed some truly great ones.

The other issue i have is a dilema in not wanting to cut the book apart so as to frame the remaining sketches. What to do....

Amazing sketch, by Crom! Since the book has already been somewhat comprimised, I'd say proceed. Cut and frame as your heart desires :)

It's already been cut apart, they might as well all be freed or else it'll just be a reminder that it's a picked over carcass. Leaving this one is wild though. Great hack and slash Conan image!
