Steve Rude is one of thise independent artists whose talent speaks by it's one. I like this page a lot, not only because the tribute rendered. Also because the composition and the perspective. It looks very contemporary!

As you note, a mix of Kirby and Steranko - but both carried off with aplomb. Cap's pose is great and the trippy background is rendered so well. Nice splash!
